What the numbers mean
Length per film
Each film has to fit the plan's length. A film that is too long is rejected before it is processed. We never cut a film short to make it fit.
Quality
You choose Standard (720p), HD (1080p) or 4K when you upload. If you ask for more than your plan includes, we stream at the plan's best instead. 4K is offered only when your source file really is 4K, because we never upscale.
Monthly allowance
The allowance is the minutes of film you can have processed each calendar month (UTC). Every upload uses its length, rounded up to the next whole minute. If an upload fails on our side, the minutes come back. Unused minutes do not roll over.
If your plan ends
Films you already published stay live. New uploads are blocked until you have a plan again, and quality choices drop to what your plan allows. Nothing is deleted.
Billing, renewal and cancelling
- Renews automatically. A monthly plan renews every month and a yearly plan every year, at the price shown, until you cancel.
- Cancel any time. Open your account and choose Manage billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for.
- Price changes. If a price changes, we tell you before your next renewal so you can cancel.
- Refunds. See the Refund Policy.
- Bought in the app? A plan bought in the Yapflix iOS app is billed by Apple and managed in your Apple subscription settings. A plan bought here is billed by Stripe and managed here. Never both: if you already have a plan through the App Store, this page will say so and will not let you buy a second one.
- Fans have their own accounts. Fan accounts and filmmaker accounts are separate, each with its own plans, and one cannot be turned into the other. Fan plans (HD or 4K viewing) are in the Yapflix app.
