Terms of Use

Version 2026-11-06 · Effective November 6, 2026. When these terms change in a way that matters, the version changes and the app asks you to accept the new version.

1. Accepting these terms

By tapping Continue in the Yapflix app, or by using the service, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Statement Privacy Choices. If you do not agree, do not use Yapflix. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and at least 13.

2. Your account

You need an account to yap, follow, unlock episodes, join watch parties and upload. Keep your sign-in details safe and give accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account. One person per account; do not sell or share access.

3. Your content and uploads

• You keep ownership of what you post. You give Yapflix a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, show, adapt for streaming (for example transcoding) and distribute it on the service.
• Only upload content you have the right to share. Do not upload anyone else's work without permission.
• Uploading movies is available to subscribers. Submissions are reviewed before they go live, and you can follow the outcome (in review, live or not approved) in the app under My uploads. We may decline, limit or remove any content. If a submission is not approved you can ask us to take another look by emailing support@yapflix.com.
• Uploads can take a while. Keep the app open until the progress bar finishes; an interrupted upload may need to be retried.

4. Subscriptions

An All-Access subscription gives you access to episodes without ads or coins and lets you upload movies. The price and billing period are shown at checkout before you pay.

• Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price shown at checkout, and you are charged to the payment method you used until you cancel.
• How to cancel. Cancel at any time from the Membership tab of your account. If you subscribed through an app store, cancel in that store's subscription settings instead.
• What cancelling does. It stops future charges. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Uploads you made stay in review or live under these terms.
• Price changes. If the price changes we will tell you before your next renewal so you can cancel.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy and as required by law.

5. Coins and unlocks

Coins and ad unlocks let you watch locked episodes. Coins have no cash value outside Yapflix and cannot be transferred or redeemed for money. Unlocked episodes are tied to your account. We may change how many episodes are free, what an unlock costs and the daily number of ad unlocks.

Creator payouts

If we offer revenue sharing for content you publish, payouts are made through Stripe Connect. You must complete Stripe's onboarding and identity checks and keep your payout details up to date. The share, any minimums and the payout schedule are shown in your account before you opt in. We may hold or reverse earnings that come from fraud, refunds or chargebacks, and we may change or end revenue sharing going forward. You are responsible for your own taxes.

6. Ads

Yapflix is supported by advertising. Some ads are shown to unlock episodes, and ads may appear in other places in the app. You can adjust ad personalization from Your Privacy Choices.

7. Watch parties and casting

• A watch party plays the same episode on each member's own device, kept in step by the host. Joining a party does not unlock anything: every member needs their own access to the episode.
• Bluetooth discovery is optional and only shares a party code.
• Casting to a TV sends the video address to your device. Only cast content you are allowed to watch.

8. What is not allowed

Our Community Guidelines explain these rules in more detail and how to report something.

• Illegal content, harassment, hate, threats or sexual content involving minors.
• Spam, scams, impersonation or attempts to cheat rewards, referrals, ad unlocks or watch-party access.
• Copying, scraping, recording or redistributing videos from the service.
• Interfering with the service, its security, or other people's accounts.

9. Copyright complaints

Our Copyright Policy explains how to send us a notice if you believe something on Yapflix infringes your copyright, and how to respond if your content was removed. We remove content that infringes and may end the accounts of repeat infringers.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Statement explains what we collect and why, and Your Privacy Choices explains the controls you have. The website's use of browser storage is described in Cookies and storage.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using Yapflix at any time and delete your account (see Delete your account). We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms. Sections that need to survive, such as content licences already granted for shared material, disclaimers and limits, continue after your account ends.

12. Disclaimers and limits

Yapflix is provided as it is and as available. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every title will always be available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it.

13. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. We will change the version and effective date above and ask you to accept the new version in the app before you continue. Questions? Email support@yapflix.com.
